BASICS
BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students) Program. This program is available to all UH students who may want to explore their own alcohol and/or drug use. The goal of the program is to reduce risky behaviors and harmful consequences of alcohol/drug abuse. Some students attend BASICS to fulfill a campus sanction, while others come because they have concerns about their alcohol and/or drug use. It is designed to assist students in examining their own behavior in a judgement-free environment. The BASICS sessions are entirely confidential, and we will not disclose any information from the sessions to anyone, including a student’s parents, without the student’s permission. To schedule an appointment, visit the ADEP link at our Health Promotion website or call 956-3453.
